Philippine Election 2010
I have never been more passionate about the presidential elections in the Philippines than I am now. I yearn for our country to be more than it is today. Being abroad and living in New Zealand where the basic needs of the people have been met by the government and where graft and corruption is so minimal, has really inspired me to wish more for our country. I want a Philippines that will stand out in Asia, that can compete with its neighbouring countries in economy and in the socio-political arena. We have been ravaged for these past few years with Presidents who have slowly but surely placed our country in the gutter. We thought that Estrada with his pro-poor slogans can deliver but to no avail. We thought that Gloria Arroyo with her economics background can uplift our nation, but we were blinded.
