Philippine Election 2010

I have never been more passionate about the presidential elections in the Philippines than I am now. I yearn for our country to be more than it is today. Being abroad and living in New Zealand where the basic needs of the people have been met by the government and where graft and corruption is so minimal, has really inspired me to wish more for our country. I want a Philippines that will stand out in Asia, that can compete with its neighbouring countries in economy and in the socio-political arena. We have been ravaged for these past few years with Presidents who have slowly but surely placed our country in the gutter. We thought that Estrada with his pro-poor slogans can deliver but to no avail. We thought that Gloria Arroyo with her economics background can uplift our nation, but we were blinded. Our country has again been subjected to so much corruption and violation of the law under her administration, and yet we turn a blind eye.

This coming election, I fervently hope that the Filipino people will educate themselves in choosing the best candidate. I hope they will NOT vote for someone because he/she is "sikat", or "mayaman", or "who keeps saying - I am for the poor", or because the candidate is "guapo" or because he is "maka-Dios" . I have chosen mine based on track record and yes, it is Dick Gordon. Among the presidential candidates, he is the only one who has already proven that he can uplift and develop a city or an organization. He aims high so that people around him will work hard and get what they deserve. His political will and vision for our country has inspired me to hope for the best. With Gordon, bawal ang tamad, lalo na bawal ang tanga. It is time we educate ourselves...Learn more about the candidates we are choosing. Make sure that we base our decision on the right qualifications and not merely on a guess. Huwag magkamali sa maling akala. VOTE WISELY PHILIPPINES!!!
