It is December 1. I can't believe it, a year has passed. So many things happened this year.  Our trip to the Philippines was a wonderful time to remember. Coming back to NZ from the trip, Steve lost his job, got a part time job, then regained his old job. I followed suit, in a slightly different way. I resigned from my job then came back in a different role, with my future still unclear. This December, we will start another journey, which I hope and pray will result in a blessing. It is all in God's hands. Next year will be interesting. Recently, Genieboy got married. We rented a part of Dumlan....who knows what's next....Just need to remain hopeful and positive.

We had a relaxing Labour day weekend this year. On Sunday, we went to see the Tall ships at the Auckland Harbour, then later went to Brown's Bay. The weather was fine, it showered a bit but mostly the sun was out. We had lunch at a Thai restaurant then had a lovely time at the beach.   Then on Monday, we slept in late. At 3 pm, we took Suzie to the Domain Wintergarderns. It is her first time to see the gardens after all these years.

We went to check out this years Diwaliat Aotea Centre. We probably stayed for 10 minutes. We checked the food and did not get anything. Needless to say, it was not an eventful celebration.

Spring is here, all the lovely flowers are blooming. These two pics are taken just near our townhouse. And more activities for summer are coming. Last week, we watched the waiters contest at Parnell. Next week is our docs appointment, hope all goes well.

                                                       Getting older, hopefully better, like wine.

Gosh, time really is flying. It has been 3 months since I went back to MR to work.It seems only like yesterday when we went to Philippines for our holiday. Now,  half the year is over. Most surprising recently is that I got a call from the agency about work opportunities and even though it seems inviting, I need to focus on December as it is going to be big for me. It will be life changing, and my mind is just concentrating on that for now. So now the ber months will roll slowly and I just hope for the best in December!!!

It's mid year now and so much has happened this year. Amidst all the excitement of our trip and coming back to new challenges, we are faced with more uncertainties for the future. Who knows what will happen in the next few months? All I know that at this moment, I have to take each day as it comes. Notwithstanding, I also have to make a decision about the future. Having this mid life crisis, certainly makes life intriguing. No matter where it takes us, I wish that it will bring us some sort of satisfaction. This midlife crisis of mine is definitely a test. How it turns up for me is all in God's hand and time.

This was our lovely lunch last Sunday. Today, I slept in late then later went to have a trim. Suzie, Steve and Sudhi went to Sandringham to get some food. They got so much food. I had a lovely chat with family on Skype. Tomorrow, we will just have a quiet time at home after going to mass in St. Patricks.

I'm trying to get used to my new schedule at work. Having to work on the weekend is something new. It is wonderful to have a nice day like today to sort of celebrate the weekend. Steve got us breakfast at Stamford Hotel and it is great. Although, we think the Langham offers a better fare, nonetheless breakfast was better than having cereal at home,lol.

After 5 weeks of tense and boring job search, I decided to ask Jethro for a job. And the day after that, IAG asked him for my references, what a turn of events. If they were a day early, I would have accepted. If the hours was better, I would have accepted. Now, I am going back to work for MR, not knowing how long I will stay. Life is really funny. But I will hold on, and see where this takes me. "If life gives you lemons, then make lemonades". I have decided that at this stage, what is most important is having a job, plans of having a family, and peace of mind. I am still concerned about the future, specially about my "career". But sometimes, we cannot plan for everything. All I can do at the moment, is make the best of what I have and strive always.

I am in the next chapter of life. I have left MR after almost 9 years of employment and I am now an unemployed person. This is another struggle in life which I hope will not be for long. I never thought that I would find it this hard to get a job. I have been to two interview so far and I have not been successful, even when I thought I did well. Perhaps, I am not what employers are looking for, even though I see myself as an asset. Hahahaha, definitely trying to lift my chair there, but then again, I have to know my own worth. This is the second week where I have no job, and so far, I have been bored staying at home, though the thought of going back to work straight away is not very inviting too. I am just scared of not knowing what is ahead of me. I thought it would be easy, but alas, here I am. I definitely do not want to regret leaving MR. I certainly feel that it is time to move on. I just never expected that the job market now is so harsh. Anyway, aside from me not having a job,...

Day 1 : 14th Dec Depart home @ 830 pm. Checked in luggage then emperor lounge. Food was good.Nice ambience.Flight at105 am.Hoki fish was not tasty.Brekkie of chicken sausage,hashbrowns good. in flight entertainment not working so boring Day 2: 15th Dec Arrived Singapore 605 am & took sky train to terminal 2.checked in to ambassador transit hotel and had shower. No good brekkie. Depart at 905 am to Davao Orange juice served on silk air. For lunch we had sausage & bread/ mince with noodles. Scare while landing but all ok. Got luggage then duty free booze at Davao airport. Met fly and headed to NCCC mall to get micro sim. Dinner at Mandarin Tea Garden & grocery shopping at NCCC mall. Day 3 : 16th Dec Shopping at NCCC mall.malls so busy.so festive .Dinner at eat all u can davao Green Buffet. doing missa di gallo 9 day mass at 4 am so many ppl.zai came with me.
