Philippine trip 2012-13
Day 1 : 14th Dec
Depart home @ 830 pm. Checked in luggage
then emperor lounge. Food was
good.Nice ambience.Flight at105 am.Hoki
fish was not tasty.Brekkie of
chicken sausage,hashbrowns good. in flight
entertainment not working so boring
Day 2: 15th Dec
Arrived Singapore 605 am & took sky
train to terminal 2.checked in to ambassador
transit hotel and had shower. No good
brekkie. Depart at 905 am to Davao
Orange juice served on silk air. For lunch
we had sausage & bread/ mince with noodles.
Scare while landing but all ok. Got luggage
then duty free booze at Davao
airport. Met fly and headed to NCCC mall to get micro sim. Dinner at Mandarin Tea
Garden & grocery shopping at NCCC mall.
Day 3 : 16th Dec
Shopping at NCCC mall.malls so busy.so
festive .Dinner at eat all u can davao
Green Buffet. doing missa di gallo 9 day mass at 4 am so many ppl.zai came with
me.
'Day 4 : 17th Dec
went to gaisano.got shoes. Lunch at majids
kebab .bobs burger for 305 peso.buy one get one free
dinner corn beef argentina with bread.had cerveza
negra beer.was good dark beer frm smb
Day 5 : 18th Dec
all day out shopping @ gaisano.Jollibee 4
lunch. Steve was not happy that we spent too much time outside, had to take
mama to see the knee doctor. Went to mass, had Jolibee which Steve no longer
likes. Then we went to The Peak in the evening for dinner at Mamma Maria pizza ,
buy one get one free.grandioso pizza yumm
Day 6 : 19th Dec
stayed home. pork roast 4 lunch.cken roast
frm chooks to go 4 dinner.tanduay cocktail as drinks.was strong
Day7: 20thDec
Stayed home leftoverpork4lunch. Went to the
beach . Watched Miss universe 2012, Miss Philippines almost won Miss
Universe, so bad, the Americans were not fair . SM mall in eve Ming seng 4 dinner.got
suz wallets, handbags and a wallet 4 me. Maying shouted us kfc.
Day 8; 21st Dec
shaan beef 4lunch spicy 4 sum Gaga liked it
.in d eve dutch pub De boerdirj 4 pizzas with Zai workmates. 4meats pizza yummy.home by 930 pm
Day 9; 22nd Dec
JS gaisano mall @ 10.evening meet Zai’s ex
students 4 dinner. dinner @ davao
green buffet .then to matina town centre. had san miguel lite .watched live
band. Steve was a bit tipsy slept on the multi can. Met Ate Zaida and her
friends at JS mall , had mcdonalds,dunkin donuts. home by 1 am
Day 10;23rd Dec
We did not attend the morning mass, left
for Tagum @ 619 am for xmas .reached Tagum by 8 am.hot dogs 4 brekkie.nccc
shopping.in d afternoon we visited cemetry,Marienel in hospital & attended
mass. Minute burger 4 dinner
Day 11 ; 24th Dec
Cooking day .dropped into church.baby Luke
home in d afternoon.got red horse 4 d eve. started drinking by 5pm.sorpotel a
hit. menu : sorpotel,turkey.tandoori cken,macaroni,spaghetti.drank till 9 pm
then took a break.dinner @ 12am.exchanged gifts.malibu 4 drinks
Day 12 ; 25th Dec
woke up, had brekkie.aunty nene,uncle
abid,maying,shobe visited us.went for 12pm xmas mass but they announced no
mass.in d eve visited Nova’s house.
Day 13 ; 26th Dec
Visited Gaisano mall Tagum & NCCC. Did
shopping for house. Had KFC spicy & burger was good. Zai had Bbq rods with
rice.300 pesos in total.in d eve took nova ,erlinda & their kids Punong
Restaurant.i had fried chicken with rice was ok. everyone had d set menu of
ruce,noodles ,bbq pork or cken.later visited freedom park in city centre tagum
to see the xmas lights.at home later we had tanduay mojito.was ok.
Day 14; 27th Dec
Attended 12pm mass @ church.Lunch @ Gaisano
Grand Mall @ Mandarin.Beef brisket on fried rice & beef balls was what i
had.Zai had noodle soup with beef.Later we visited the cemetery for Zai’s dad death
anniversary & visited Baby Emmanuel. Home by 430 pm.Dinner corn beef and
bread.
Day 15 ; 28th Dec
Maybe shop at malls,watch Aust vs Sri Lanka
cricket .Cken pulaf 4 lunch.For brekkie we had cocktail sausage &
eggs.lunch was chooks to go roast cken.dinner shaan curry cken biryani
spice.had fundador brandy at nite with d guys
Day 16 b 29th Dec
Cereal 4 brekkie.sprained my back in
shower.used moov.dumlan @ 3 pm then to the Omandac beach resort later. put
gimelina leaves on the back along with moov.around 4 pm went to dumlan then to
omandac beach view resort.entrance fee 50 pesos person entitles you to a
cottage ,cooking bbq facilities and swimming,live music.good food like fry
cken,bbq pork,cken shaan curry.left at 1130 pm.had a blast
Day 17: 30th Dec
Back better. relax at home.zai went nccc
shopping.got red horse had it with Ricson.beef burgers minute burger 4
lunch.went to mass @ 330 pm by myself.took ride to church.walked back home.tuna
fry 4 dinner.280 pesos a kg for yellow fin tuna.350 pesos for the white fin.zai
me went midnite shopping @ gaisano as there was 70% sale but the sale was no
good. got knives forks at normal price.
Day 18 ; 31st Dec
Its new year’s eve. heaps of cooking.
parmesan crust cken,sorpotel,bbq pork limpo,fruits,bola bola,cken
roast,macaroni.booze smirnoff ,emperado brandy..watch fireworks at 12 am @ NCCC
mall then come home & eat & party and ring in the new year.fireworks
display was awesome ,20 mins long.traffic was at a standstill .organised
chaos.we started drinking smirnoff at 7 pm.pissed.lol.in bed by 2 am
Day 19 ; 1st Jan 2013
1st day of new year.had cereal 4 brekkie.
leftovers 4 lunch .left tagum at 3 pm then went to aunty Nene’s house in Buhangin
for dinner. we had cken curry with potatoes,carrots, fries,fry pork ,ice cream
.watched japanese movie. cken curry was yummy .prepared by Abed who is training
in hotel mgmt.home by 1030 pm
Day 20 ; 2nd Jan 2013
Rainy day. Stayed at home.leftover parmesan
crust cken 4 dinner.Zai went out to cut hair with mum,zharina,zaida,zairel.me
zoren stay home.we have a cough and my tummy give probs. pancit 4 dinner.with Ricson
back by 640 pm.zai back by 10 pm .bought us food frm mandarin.i has fry rice
& beef brisket. tummy ok now.
Day 21 ; 3rd Jan 2013
Stayed home in d am .corn beef 4 lunch. We went
to peoples park to meet Ate Netnet and Uncle Boy. The off to Pops resto bar for
dinner with uncle boy,netnet ,shobe.atomic cken lollipops yumm but very
spicy.fish fingers tasty.iberian baked cken just ok.home by 10 pm.
Day 22; 4th Jan 2013
Gaga droped us st Alexian brothrs wellness
centre at around 10 am .check up for Zai’s eye growth.apt at 1pm so we went to SM
& had peri peri charcoal cken. Long wait for doctor, still waiting for doc
@ 215 pm.doc arrived 2 hrs late.gave zai drops and 100 peso discount.fry
cken,egg curry 4 dinner.later we had emperador brandy.
Day 23 ; 5th Jan 2013
Woke up at 5 am off by 640 am to
Saloy.Reached there by 9am Ppl nice.had panciit pork 4 lunch.experienced
carabao carriage ride and hiking thru slush.Bumpy ride and back hurts. home by
630 pm.minute burger 2 for 1 (cken and beef). Had to help girl pack all stuff
for the burger stall before she cooked our Burger. Also got Chooks to go for
dinner. 270 pesos we got 8 cken,8 beef burgers *2 so 16 burgers altogether.
Day 24 , 6th Jan 2013
Lazy Sunday.Had leftover burgers 4
brekkie.Mass @ 10 am @ Chapel in Gulf View . meet Aunty Josie 4 dinner in d
evening. Had dinner at Peri-Peri restaurant. Auntie Nene and Uncle Abed also
came for dinner later.
Day 2 5; 7th Jan 2013
Rainy,cloudy day.Lunch @ hone frm Janelles
.Lumpia Shanghai & chopsuey mixed veges.After lunch went to NCCC mall.Got
sunnies which look like reading glasses & socks.Zai got tops.Next got cream
dory fish,french fries,pork,cken frm supermarket and wholemeal bread.Beef
schwarama so bad.mashed rice,beef,veges.total crap for 55 pesos.lol.Dinner at
home was yummy beer battered fish chips .we also had a spicy tandoori fish.
Day 26 ; 8th Jan 2013
Cloudy day.Stayed home .had shaan cken
curry 4 lunch. Dinner noodkes,chopsuey.Evening we visited Oding in the city
& had ice cream at their place
Day 27 ; 9th Jan 2013
Uncle Boy visited us in the morning & gifted
us a coffee mug.Majids kebab for lunch. gost chelo kebab with kobideh stew
yum.Shopped for souveneirs then js gaisano.
started to rain.hone by 530 pm leftover
shaan cken 4 dinner.Anchovy fritters for everyone.

taxi.nice home. we took cake 4 her. Uncle boy came along with us

Went with Zai to Alexian brothers 4 her
eyes.Doc says fat cells (sebaceous cyst) and sll pk.Went to Bigbys Sm & had
breaded cken fingers,fries , smb beer & garlic bread.gb was a joke.two
small pieces if tasteless bread for 55 pesos.in d eve went to Abreeza mall.was
ok.them mamma maria pizza in ecoland .had grandiosa pizza. buy one take
one..zai & flyhad halo halo .icecream with fruits
Day 30 ; 12th Jan 2013
Fiesta in Gulf view.Basketball
tournament.We off to Tagum by 12 pm .Had lunch @ Goldilocks.I had beef steak with
rice.Zai had dinuguan and Mum got fish. Bachelor bus to Tagum has air con,music
,wifi (the password was not given- conductor said it was low batt) & comfy
seats.In Tagum by 330 pm.Corn beef 4 dinner.
Day 31 ; 13th Jan 2013
Baby Luke’s baptism.Zai woke up at 530
am to cook beef pilaf .tough beef. Menu
: beef pilaf,kinilaw,noodles,spring rolls with pork which were yum.After mass
30 minute seminar for the godparents.then join baptism for all babies.home and
eat food then drink.finished drinking by 8 pm with zamels friends.emperador
brandy. then st remy brandy.
Day 32 ; 14th Jan 2013
Back to Davao by bus at 9am. lunch at home.Schezuan fish with ginger ,chilli and fried cken.In the
evening, went to Matina to Vista View resto.Great views.I was sulking because
Smart was being a dick by not allowing me internet access .Family had Boodle
which was a shared dish of bulad rice,kinilaw,tilapia,grilled pork etc.i had a
hamburger which was gud.we shared buttered cken which was juicy.as we were
dining the heavens poured out and there was thunder,lightning.it was spectacular
views but we nearly got wet.waited for 45mins for the rain to subside but no
joy so ricson ,me,zoren stripped to our pants and braved the rain in d
multicab.zharina also joined in.zai,zaida,zairel,mum,gaga ,luis were safe.good
rain experience but the rain kept beating on us and it hurt.parts of davao city
were flooded.
Day 33; 15th Jan 2013
Left home early to have breakfast at
McDonalds.had big brekkie of sausage,scrambled eggs,muffin,hashbrowns with hot
choc.zai had pancakes.next sm for grocery shopping
KFC for lunch.spent 1 hr @ smart customer
service centre but no joy in sorting internet issues on my mobile.Grocery
shopping for Gaga’s bday done & took taxi home as it was pouring
heaps.Internet issues sorted by 6 pm.Pinoy style cken curry with potatoes,carrots
4 dinner.was yumm
Day 34 ; 16th Jan 2013
Gagas bday.Wished him in d morning.Took
Luis,around the block .he was on his bike.Zai cooked tandoori chicken and ginger fish. tables chairs arranged. 25
ppl came for the send off and Gaga’s
bday .finished around 12 am.good catch up for the final time.
Day 35; 17thJan 2013
Mums bday. Rest all day & do final
grocery shopping 4 d fly at NCCC in d evening. Last Chooks to go for dinner.
Day 36 ; 18th Jan 2013
Day at home. In d eve went to Matina Town
Centre , had pizza @ Keepsakes then watched live music with d fly

Holiday over. Big brekkie then left for
airport @ 10 am . Family emotional….sad to leave Davao. Checked in @ 11 am. Boarded @ 1 15 pm
as flight was delayed. Stopover @ Cebu , Singapore
& watched movies, had Singapore
sling .Arrived in Akl @ 1155 am & walked thru customs no checking !!
