September has come and is almost over...



 The BER months have started again and Christmas is just around the corner. I am so excited to go home and be with the family again after such a long time.
But first, just celebrated another birthday. What can I say about getting older? Perhaps ageing is indeed good for the soul. We are getting older and wiser and hopefully learning more lessons in life. This year, we went to Monsoon Poon for my birthday dinner. It was lovely.
 As usual, my birthday cake is from our favourite shop, just so yummy.















26th September,we  invited Krupa for lunch. It was such a lovely spring day. I am glad Krupa enjoyed the food we prepared. After lunch, we went for a small walk in the city so Suzie can go to the Indian Spice shop.








 

It has been a lovely year so far. We have gone through so many changes like my new job, the house move, Steve's work move etc. But with all the changes, we have managed well and I am very happy with how we have chugged along so far. I hope that it will be the same as the year is nearing it's end.

  I have always been interested about the past. I enjoy knowing history because our past and the people before us have shaped who we are today. Musings on my childhood by Zai

  I had a great childhood. I had fun and freedom to explore the world around me. And even though we did not have everything in life, we still enjoyed life the best of what we had. Davao and Tagum were beautiful homes for us. The rural life in Tagum was special and it helped us appreciate the beauty of living a simple life. It gave us wonderful memories which I treasure. I had memories of my childhood in Bajada, Davao. It was there where we played under the Mansanitas tree just in front of the rented house, we would play on Zamel’s toy car. The car was big enough for us that we could ride it. When I was little, I used to think the tree was so big. Everything looked so big when you are a child. When I see a Mansanitas tree now, I realise that it is not that big after all. I vaguely remember playing near the neighbors house where I would jump over the canal. It must have been a small canal but it seemed like a fun thing to do when you are young. I must have been under five years old...
