India trip 2016-2017
27th Nov. Left home at 8 pm. Did self check
in and bags presented at counter. After immigration went to Strata lounge. I
had beef bourguignon, fish and chips, noodles and Moa beer. Zai had Danish. Suz had ham cheese sandwich, butter chicken
rice. Left lounge at 12am . Last people to leave. Heaps of people to
board. I could not sleep much on Air NZ
flight. Food of beef casserole not
tasty. Also the chicken sausage and scrambled eggs just ok 4 brekkie. We were
seated at end of the plane so had to dash to catch flight from Singapore to
Mumbai
28th Nov.
They checked oci at Singapore
airport. Flight left 15 mins late. Brekkie was vadai and cken curry. Zai had
scrambled eggs and chicken sausage. Suz had a bread roll. We had a Singapore sling. Flight arrived at
1023 am India
time. Immigration and baggage was a breeze and we walked thru green channel. Mum & Dad greeted us with chicken patties from Merwan's . Crazy
traffic took us 2 hours plus to get home. Pork roast and vindaloo 4 lunch. Rested later .
29th Nov: Went to Dmart in the evening.
30th Nov: Went to chuim and stayed
overnight .Chicken dish and pilaf 4 dinner. Got beers. Adrian bought starter’s Chicken tandoori and
Chicken seek kebab.
1st Dec:
mass at 630 am st Vincent the Paul. Zai me went to carter rd 4 walk.
Claude uncle joined us. He got cken patties from a1 4 brekkie. c. Took train . Went to Phoenix mall , Lower Parel then mondegar . Ate kebabs at Phoenix. Got
fried rice, cken chilly , cken
Manchurian from mondegar 4 dinner .Back home by 5

2nd
: Sat eve met Maria at Veranda , Pali hill bandra . She picked us up 1040 pm from
andheri. We had starters cken tikka platter and olive cken. Jazz was good. Zai
had hot toddy which was yumm. At 130 am Maria took us 4 a drive to nariman
point via worli sea link. Full moon. Nice night out. Met her friend Brian
3rd
: came home by 7 am. Took uber from Lourdes colony to malad station. Then train
to borivli and home. Bacon eggs 4 brekkie. English Mass at 930 am with zai. .In the arvo went to Vasai 4 suz jeweler. Ate Rashmi kebab and cken tikka was yumm from
takeaway express vasai near merwans .Met
Ajay in Vasai in the evening.
4th : scrambled eggs 4 brekkie. Cken green
and pilaf 4 lunch. Arvo went to dmart 3 of us. Also visited big bazaar and got
Raymond blankets
5th : heavy rain due to cyclone . Cheese on
hard bread kadak pav 4 brekkie. Stayed home. Suz cancelled her doc apt due2 to
rain. Visited Coutinho and dsilva uncle at 12 pm. 1 kg biryani rs 600 and rs
400 1 cken tandoori 4 lunch. Lazy day.
Dad bought onion bhajias in the am. Visited Joice and anu in the eve. My
internet finally getting ok due to change in settings.
7th : Went to bandra. Train first class so crowded. Went to cheap
jack to get gift bag. Got cken puffs ,
cken rolls , lollipop from a1 bakery. Met Royston and fly . Had lunch fried
rice , cken chilly and cken schezuan.
Next met aunty Lucilla. Nice home
.took 345pm train back home. First class with Zai. It was empty . She was not
keen to come into guys . Had cken rolls 4 dinner
8th: Went to hdfc , naigaon then parnaka 4 Zai watch
strap. Suz got back by 1245 pm from chuim. Dal , cken roast 4 lunch. Rest at home
all day
9th : Bola Bola and fried rice 4 lunch.
Went to Merwans got cken and garlic patties, tandoori rolls to take on trip to
Malavli. Mass at 545 pm at Kripa with
mum Zai
10th: Due to Vasai marathon car was stuck
at Vasai for 2 hours.Finally we left at 1045 am .Lots of traffic reached at
1.45 pm. Remote place in Malavli. Met
Xavier and wife Jasmine . Dirt roads. Nice house. Had patties 4 lunch. . For dinner caretakers
Vikas wife Sonal cooked cken curry and rice bread rotis. They were yummy
11th: Went 4 a walk at 7 am to Malavli
railway station. Took 20 mins . Dirt roads . Got potato vadas and eggs . At 10
am got picked up by Sham to go to Karla caves . Had lunch at Mummys restaurant
. Food was yumm. Good cken dry and Zai loved prawns Masala. Had with rotis. Got takeaway 4 dinner cken masala . Disaster as we
discovered dads bed was wet with water leaking from ceiling and stairs had
water too. Relocated dad to lounge and sent Xavier pics of leak. Legs hurt from
walk to Karla caves
12th : Went to Lohagad fort . Bhurji 4
brekkie. Xavier came at 820 am. Lohagad fort took 2 hours. Good to see it .
Then went to Khandala valley and sunset point.
Lunch at Kinnara dhaba. Good
food. Shopped 4 grocery. Got venkys cken
frozen , cken nuggets , seek kebabs, rice , bread , salt
13th : Left at 9 am to Pune to see Aunty
Blanch my godmother. Reached by 11 am . She was very pleased to see us.Had
lunch at Blue Nile . Lovely mutton biryani ,
fried rice , cken chilly , cken kadaI & Rashmi kebab. Got mawa cakes for Aunty . Took home a black
forest cake and Shrewsbury
biscuits . Samosas 4 dinner . Home by 5 pm
14th : Day of rest at home . Zai & me
went to Malavli train station and got potato vadas, newspaper and soap. Cken
pilaf 4 lunch and fried cken 4 dinner. Lazed in the garden all afternoon. Gave
sum pilaf to Sonal the caretakers wife. Lights went out 4 a few hours in the
morning but it was back soon.
15th : Went to get Chikkis. Dad stayed home. Lunch at Malvani place suggested by Sham the
driver. Mutton was hard. Surmai fish not
bad. Got leftovers home and fish/ cken kolhapure 4 dad. It was red & spicy
. Also visited bag factory .Zai got a backpack
16th : Left home by 6 37 am .Suz Zai walked to Malavli station along with me to take train to Pune to meet Uma. She met us at Grand Sheraton around 9 am.
Train ride to Pune good. Uma took us to
veg brekkie : puran poli, thali peth, sheera, potato vada, misal pav. Met the
owner who is Umas friend. Then took uber
around Pune to visit sweet shops , Shaniwar Wada and lunch at Blue
Nile again. Got goat biryani home along with dal ghost 4 mum as she wanted to try it. Both were yumm.
17th : Ready to go back to Naigaon. Kept all stuff back in
kitchen & closet. Gave Sonal & Vikas
funds . He said cooking chicken along with rotis cost rs 500 and that did not
include labor! Crazy guy. Driver was late by 30 mins . Home by 2 pm. Driver
asked 4 more money as extra kms2. I refused to pay. Biryani from Naigaon 4 dinner .
18th : Mother of God feast which is huge. Bigger than Christmas. Mass at 6 am
English. Got patties , Samosas. Pork
vindaloo , cken roast and cken curry 4 lunch.
Rosie Aunty , Robin , his fly, libru and Sylvia father in law visited.
Went to the fair in the arvo . Suz left for Chuim in evening
19th : Crazy train rides. Left at 845 am
and we took train from Naigaon to Vasai as train was going back to Andheri .
But people pack the train in Naigaon . Zai got in but I got into goods van
which was smelly of fish etc. From Andheri took metro train to Ghatkopar and
then tuk tuk to R City Mall . It was a good mall. Metro very nice. Lots of security.Shoppers stop had good deal ;
buy 2 get 2 free. I got a jeans, t shirt , shirt and formal short 4 dad. He
liked it. All levis
brand. Had mcdees mcspicy and cheesy Italian . Both good. But crap fries . Zai
shopped a bit at Westside . Then Big Bazaar . Got kfc . They don't sell
original only spicy and Smokey wings which were yummy. Traffic crazy from r
city to metro. Zai missed train as too
crowded. Lucky next virar train 3 mins
later so I waited at Naigaon station 4 a few mins. Leftover vindaloo 4 dinner
along with kfc . Mum made pudding which was yumm.
20th:
Stayed at home . Cool mornings . Dad got heaps of fruits for Zai. Leftover cken curry & roast 4
lunch. At 3 pm Zai & me went with mum to papdy as mum cut her hair then we
went to d mart to get groceries.
21st : Had cken sausages 4 brekkie. Dal & fried cken 4 lunch. Proposed catch up with St Elias school mates
at Cafe coffee day in Carter road at 7 30 pm. Before that visited Divya mum
dad. Andrean catch up postponed to 26th Dec dinner so caught up with Quateel & Sheldon. Home by 1220 pm. Got a
rick late at night finally.
22nd : Went 4 mass . Got puri bhaji. Later
went yo syndicate bank , HDFC & got lollipops.
Went to big bazaar & got cakes. Got Samsung
fridge from Vijay sales for rs 13000. Got cken tikka from status . Had pav bhaji from stalls with Suz. Was nice. Zai only tasted the bread.
23rd : in the arvo went to suruchi beach
vasai. Took uber for rs 120 there. Black sand beach . Dirty beach. Later rick
dropped us 2 parnaka. Got cken pattties
and ate in tamtalao garden. Fridge delivered by 815 pm. Looks sleek. Blue with flowers
24th : Went at 11 am Sunday to Mira rd to see Jacinta aunty. Took them to timeless restaurant. Good food. Then by 3 pm went to robins place then saw Nathan briefly .Mass at 10 pm at mother of God. Marathi mass. Carols at 930 pm. Dad did not come . After mass band played and they gave cake.
25th Xmas day : Bacon, eggs , pork sausages , potato
rosti 4 brekkie. Xmas lunch was pilaf , cken chilly and cken curry. Tony visited us and had lunch. Lazy Christmas
day.
26th : Stayed home. I left at 4 pm and visited Maria and Connor
Aunty then left at 730 pm for dinner at Silver Oaks , Andrean catch up. 7 in
total incl Robin , Maria Rodricks son. They paid 4 me. Took 11 am slow train
from Malad . Got puri bhaji at 12 am and had as was hungry. Our dinner catch up was good . Suz left in
early morning to help with food prep for Petline Aunty bday on 27th.
27th : Zai & mum took ladies special at 10 am
.They got place to sit . Our later train was crowded but we reached Bandra and
caught up with mum zai. Lots of food at Petline Aunty birthday . Fugias, pork
roast , red pork , cken xacuti, green goat . Got 2 kg black forest cake . . Suz mum Zai took earlier train. Dad me took 518 bandra local to virar Home
by 7 pm.
28th : my head hurt. Just lazed home
29th : fr Tony visited 4 lunch. Cken roast
and cken vindaloo and pilaf . Suz visited Shabnam at 3pm. Zai me visit at 4 pm
then we went to big bazaar . They gifted suz a book and perks pen, Zai was
gifted a clock.
30th : Went to Papdy market. Got gold fish and grocery from Prince. At 130 pm went to meet Ajay , Prakash &
Manoj at Sanjog bar , Borivli. Had fish chilly & lollipops. Home by 6 pm. Got lollipops and chicken ball
with noodles from Naigaon 4 dinner .
31st : Zai me went for 930 am English mass.
Got home made wine from cold storage . Zai made pork crackling , bricolli with
bacon. Mum Suz Zai and me went for 10
pm Marathi mass . Home by 1130. Had wine then witnessed old man burning
1st Jan 2018 : Salami and chicken cheese
balls 4 brekkie . Rosie Aunty , Libru , Claude uncle visited us and got us
sweets. We took them 4 lunch to status .
Murgh Massallam, mutton handi, lollipops and pahadi kebab. Then mum suz Zai went to big bazaar whist I
went home and got her glasses and later we watched Tiger Zinda hai at carnival
cinema., vasai east , vasant nagari.
Leftover from status and omelette 4 dinner . Goat that suz cooked on
31st we will eat on 2nd . Had black forest cake from igp , same place we got
petline aunty cake .
2nd : last day of hols. Mum was sad on 1st as she thought we had a
week more . Ferdinand visited us with his mum. Got us sweets from goa. Green goat curry 4 lunch. Was yummy. Will get
cken biryani 4 dinner so we can sample it one last time. Relax in the arvo.Robin Kavita visited us in
d evening . We got them samosas
3rd Jan : Due to bandh notice we left at 5
am for airport. Reached at 615 am. Dad
Mum emotional. Had to leave asap as
driver was scared of probs. They home by 8 am. We checked 93 kgs luggage in to Auckland , did immigration, customs and
headed to loyalty lounge. Bhurji , upma and spiced potato 4 brekkie . Robin
came to see us . Shouted him cken puff and oj.cost rs 585. Flight was delayed 1
hour due to software issues but reached Singapore
only 20 mins late. Lunch was pan fried
fish 4 me with veg and potatoes. Suz Zai
had butter cken on rice . My fudge was yumm. Reached hotel just after 10 pm .
Small rooms. Kitchen closed so got sandwiches cken club , ham cheese from gas
station along with noodles.
4th: woke up by 7 am. Good hot water shower
and toilet paper after yonks .We had green tea and Zai had 3 in one coffee
from gas station. Brekkie at Kith cafe.
Lots of expats. Me Zai had big brekkie .
Yummy sausage. Suz tummy upset. She went
back to hotel. We waited 4 jaja. I got
sim card for $15 . 100 gb data for 5 days with calls, sms. M1 netwirk. Quick
as. Jaja came by 1040. She had breakfast
burrito then we took uber to orchard mall. Suz got shoes and wallet. Zai too
got a small wallet. We got d guess wallet 4 jaja then headed to garden by bay then little
India where we launched biryani, cken 65. Spicy but nice. Jaja took mrt train home . We took taxi to
hotel , picked up luggage from hotel Miramar them to airport by 5 pm relaxing
in sats premier lounge. Suz got Louis
vuiton wallet for $600 . Cream pasta was nice.
Jap curry just ok. Schweppes ginger ale was good. Lots of booze but I
kept away . Suz had Apple's, cheese . Zai had sweets and then they went to
browse shops . #Holidays over. Flight at 850 pm to Auckland from terminal 3 , gate a10. Flight
left 10 mins late. Supper was beef
brisket with noodles. Was ok. Zai Suz
did not eat. Ice cream almond was ok. Could not sleep. Brekkie of egg frittata was crap with sausage
. Zai had the noodles with cken.Suz had bread roll with butter. Flight landed
on time at 1137 am. Robot delivered our duty free. Collected luggage and had to
queue 4 customs. Took ages . They checked our bags ave we off hone in shuttle
as too many bags for cheap taxis. Home by 2 pm. Uber eats delivered cken
souvlaki kebabs 4 Zai suz , cken shish kebab 4 me. Cken pilaf 4 dinner.
Was a good holiday. Thanks Jesus for a wonderful time home away
from home. 😊
