Interlude:after the flood. By Zai

There are times in your life when you feel like you are stuck in a rut then suddenly your life changes in a most unexpected way that all you can do is react, accept the change and adapt.

That seems to be what has happened to us in the last few weeks. I am not saying we were in a rut since a few months ago, we did have some life changing events that happened to us. All I am saying is that we were sort of on a routine in life for awhile, then,  everything changed. I know this happens to many people every time, but it is always different when it happens to you.

It is amazing how you can adapt to change if you are forced to do so. Compared to others, we have been a little lucky. We have been able to go out of our comfort zone and got to experience something new, something that we never thought we would experience. I can say that these new experiences have been good in general. It is sort of a ride to a whole new world. I am so glad that the three of us did this together.

I got to meet wonderful and generous people like Loretta Aunty and Trevor Uncle. I got to stay in the heart of the CBD area for a week, which was so ideal for us. And now, I get to live in a beautiful and quiet area in Ponsonby, in a brand new house. There are a few challenges, but we have been able to deal with it so far. I am eternally grateful to all who have helped us. I am grateful to God that He did not leave us in our trying times. I am grateful to Mum Aintoinette, whom I feel had whispered her own prayers in God's ears so her children will be safe.

I am hopeful.
