Dramas in Life

 There has been so much drama in our life in the last few months, it has been crazy.

What with the death of Mum Antoinette, then the floods, then the eviction from our house due to the issue with the house renovation because of the floods, then to the burglary of the house in Dovedale.

Then, I am having an on going saga of the reversal of the credit of the stolen funds from my ATM card. It has now taken a few weeks and it is still on going. I just called today and nothing is resolved. I dont know how this people can work in a bank if they can't even tell the difference between a credit and a debit!

I am still trying to think positively in these trying of times. But it can be hard sometimes.

There are a few wins though. Life is not totally dismal. 

On a positive note, we recently had a visit from Aj. It was great to see him after 13 years! Wow, time has flown.


 

I also received some positive vibes from work, being voted for Q4 employee of the quarter, Yahoo to that!


 

Then Suz celebrated her bday.

Musings on my childhood by Zai

  I had a great childhood. I had fun and freedom to explore the world around me. And even though we did not have everything in life, we still enjoyed life the best of what we had. Davao and Tagum were beautiful homes for us. The rural life in Tagum was special and it helped us appreciate the beauty of living a simple life. It gave us wonderful memories which I treasure. I had memories of my childhood in Bajada, Davao. It was there where we played under the Mansanitas tree just in front of the rented house, we would play on Zamel’s toy car. The car was big enough for us that we could ride it. When I was little, I used to think the tree was so big. Everything looked so big when you are a child. When I see a Mansanitas tree now, I realise that it is not that big after all. I vaguely remember playing near the neighbors house where I would jump over the canal.
